a campaign by  OCCUPY FOR ANIMALS! and COMBATEREA ABUZURILOR

About this page

'
Hope for Romanian Dogs' is a joint campaign by Occupy for Animals and Alianta pentru Combaterea Abuzurilor, created in support of the new draft law initiated by Romanian Independent Member of the Romanian Parliament, Remus Cernea, in May 2015.

It includes the report 'The Problem of Stray Dogs in Romania – Between Reality and Fiction, Cruelty and Stupidity, Corruption and Business' - a project initiated by MEP Stefan Bernhard Eck, Vice-President of the European Parliament's Intergroup on the Welfare and Conservation of Animals - and that Mr Eck had handed over to EU-Commissioner Vytenis Andriukaitis on 9th of September, 2015, one day before his visit to Romania and meeting with high-ranking Romanian Politicians and Government Officials.

MEP Stefan Bernhard Eck also distributed this report as a brochure to the Members of the 'Intergroup' during their meeting from 8th of October, 2015, which was entirely dedicated to the issue of mismanagement of Romania's stray animal populations.

You can read said report in English, Romanian, and German language on its dedicated page.
